The NW-ARM awarded opportunity funds individuals or groups
engaged in promoting media literacy in local communities,
schools, churches or other agencies and may be used for
example by teachers, professors, recreation leaders and after
school programs. The funds could be used for a wide-range of
purposes, including support for a speaker or consultant,
implementation of a media literacy curriculum resource,
service learning project, senior project, food or other
incentives for after school media literacy programs, or more
systematic organized activities with a goal of promoting media
literacy education. Projects ranging up to $300 are
encouraged.
